Nick and Elise Huppe are the proud owners of Scenic Building Supply, a local business rooted in experience, community, and a shared commitment to exceptional service. Drawing on Nick’s decade-plus in the construction and window industries, they founded the company to combine expert guidance, quality materials, and personalized attention that big-box stores simply cannot match.

Scenic Building Supply offers an impressive selection of building materials, including windows, doors, siding, decking, roofing, cabinets, and more. Whether customers are constructing a new home, updating an existing one, or enhancing an outdoor living space, Nick and Elise ensure that each client receives hands-on support in selecting the right materials to bring their vision to life.

Originally launched in 2022 as Scenic Windows & Glass, the company evolved to meet a growing need for a wider variety of materials, prompting a rebrand to Scenic Building Supply. Their expanded offerings now include decking, roofing materials, doors, trim products, cabinets, hardware, framing, drywall and more, making the company a one-stop shop for contractors and homeowners alike.

Nick, who also co-owns a local construction company, comes from a family of entrepreneurs and knows the sacrifices and rewards of building a business from the ground up. Growing up in Loomis taught him the value of community and the importance of relationships in a small town. That connection to his roots fuels the couple’s passion for serving others in the region where they were raised.

Scenic Building Supply sets itself apart by blending the advantages of a family-run business with competitive pricing. While they do not operate like a traditional big-box store with vast on-site inventories, their “bundle and save” model allows customers to combine purchases like windows, doors, and siding for significant savings. Clients appreciate the Huppes' genuine, personal touch, which fosters trust and provides tailored solutions at every step of a project. For the Huppes, customers are not just transactions; they are neighbors, friends, and partners, and are treated like part of the extended family.

The couple's shared love of wordplay even influenced the company’s name: “Scenic” is a clever nod to “See Nick,” a favorite among customers who appreciate a good dad joke. Looking to the future, they hope to expand their showroom, allowing for more immersive customer experiences, and to partner with more trusted manufacturers as authorized dealers.

Residing in Penryn on 2.5 acres with their two young daughters, a barn cat, nineteen chickens and five goats named after Seinfeld characters, the Huppes understand firsthand the demands of homeownership and family life. They are currently in the process of expanding their own home, a project that consumes much of their spare time and informs them of their customers’ experiences and challenges.
