He attributes much of his success to the unwavering support and encouragement of his family. A longtime resident of Arden Park since 1986, Scott grew up in nearby Sierra Oaks, just a mile from his current home. He married his college sweetheart, Cathy, after graduating from Southern Oregon University, and together they have two adult children, J.R. and Jessica. Jessica and her husband, Noah, have two children, Jake and Cate. Both J.R. and Jessica attended Mariemont Elementary, Arden Middle School, and Rio Americano High School. The Palmer family enjoys RV trips, boating, fishing, and traveling, with annual visits to Mexico being a cherished tradition.

 

Scott’s passion for real estate began at an early age, influenced by his father, who was a longtime agent and broker. Real estate was often a topic of discussion at the family dinner table, which ultimately led Scott to obtain his real estate sales license in 2001. He joined a local brokerage and, in 2006, earned his broker’s license. Choosing to remain with the firm where he started, he spent 18 years there, serving as a mentor agent for newly licensed professionals and as a sales manager for an office of over 90 agents. During this time, he achieved numerous sales awards and industry designations. Recognizing the need to branch out on his own, he founded Scott Palmer Real Estate in 2019. Initially operating as a solo agent, the company has since expanded to include 13 licensed agents.

The company was recognized by the community as a “Sacramento Favorite Real Estate Company for 2024” in the Sacramento Bee’s Sacramento Favorites program. Additionally, in 2023, Scott Palmer Real Estate achieved the highest-priced sale in MetroList’s four-county region, closing a $10,000,000 transaction. The firm has represented clients in San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Stockton, in addition to the Greater Sacramento area.
