Szymanowski Orthodontics

Dr. Damon Szymanowski's mission is simple but powerful: “Transform lives, one smile at a time, through innovation, passion, excellence, and exceptional experiences.” At Szymanowski Orthodontics, that mission comes to life through a practice that is fun, modern, caring, and highly efficient. Known for being approachable and attentive, Dr. Szymanowski and his team create an environment where patients enjoy their visits and genuinely feel cared for.

A Sacramento native, Dr. Szymanowski attended Mariemont Elementary, Arden Middle School, and Jesuit High School. He went on to graduate from UC Berkeley, earned his dental degree from Tufts University in Boston, and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2005.

Dr. Szymanowski is known for bringing a fresh, innovative approach to orthodontics, continually seeking out advanced techniques and tools to improve outcomes and enhance patient experiences. He also prioritizes community involvement, believing that supporting local organizations is an important extension of his work as a local business owner and orthodontist.

Dr. Szymanowski comes from a family of dental professionals. Both his father and brother are periodontists, so you could say that dentistry runs in his blood. While he chose a different specialty within dentistry, he is proud to have built his own practice through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care.

Outside of work, Dr. Szymanowski enjoys spending time with his wife, Alison, a family physician, their three children, and their beloved pets—two Burmese cats and a labradoodle. He loves outdoor adventures with his family, especially skiing, biking, and golf. His family makes time each year to explore new destinations together. While he brings a focused, driven energy to his professional life, at home he is more relaxed, with a passion for live music and connecting with people.
