Rocklin residents Susan and Brian Bennett have spent the last seven years creating more than just great restaurants—they’ve created places with a feeling. Inspired by their love of food and the joy that comes from gathering a table, the Bennetts set out to build restaurants where guests can relax, connect, celebrate, and enjoy genuine hospitality.

Bennett’s Restaurants is a family-owned company dedicated to delivering elevated yet approachable dining experiences in warm, lively environments. The menus offer something for nearly everyone, from comfort-food favorites and fresh seafood to premium steaks, handcrafted cocktails, and a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. “Our commitment to genuine hospitality is what truly sets us apart,” Susan explains. “From the quality of the ingredients and the energy in the dining room to the smallest details of service, we want every guest to feel welcome, cared for, and happy they chose to spend their time with us.” That commitment drives the Bennett’s team every day. At each of their three restaurants—in Roseville, Sacramento, and Rocklin—the goal is simple: create a great experience and send every guest home with a smile.

Married for 37 years and proud Rocklin residents for more than three decades, Susan and Brian have always shared a vision of creating upscale yet casual restaurants where people can gather, celebrate life’s moments, and enjoy a memorable meal without feeling formal or fussy. Like many entrepreneurs, the Bennetts have experienced both exciting highs and difficult lows. They opened their first restaurant in 2019, only months before the pandemic changed the restaurant industry—and the world. During that uncertain time, they found the determination to keep moving forward, thanks in large part to the community that continued to show up and support them. The experience changed them in countless ways, but it never changed the foundation of what they wanted Bennett’s to be. “Along the way, we’ve stayed focused on consistency, surrounded ourselves with an amazing team, and never lost sight of what matters most: creating an exceptional guest experience,” Susan says. “Brian and I are incredibly grateful for every guest who has chosen to dine with us, every employee who has believed in our vision, and every member of the community who has supported us along the way.”

Seven years after opening their doors, the Bennetts continue to welcome friends, neighbors, and visitors into their restaurants. Their daughter, Margaux, oversees operations at the Sacramento location, making Bennett’s a true multigenerational family business. Although their journey has included unexpected challenges, it has also brought tremendous opportunities. The Bennetts hope to open a fourth location in the future, but for Susan, some of the most meaningful moments are found in the restaurants they have already created. “I truly enjoy walking through the dining room and seeing guests laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying great food,” she says. “I love watching people relax and feel like they’re on vacation, even if it’s only for a couple of hours. When the room has that energy and you can see people connecting and making memories, that’s the Bennett’s vibe. It reminds us why we do this—and it inspires us every day to make the experience even better.”
