LIG Rentals

JULY 2026

Since its inception, Life is Good Rentals has striven to exceed its clients’ expectations in every aspect of its work. As they look to the next chapter of their business operations, the LIG Rentals team is eager to build upon its foundation of excellence and conquer all its goals for the future.

Keith Byers launched LIG Rentals in 2019. What started as an opportunity to grow a travel trailer business adapted into a more dynamic venture as Keith leveraged his knowledge as a hydrovac operator to recognize the missing and needed inventories of job sites he was working on, eventually building relationships with multiple S&P 500 companies. When Loren Markland, CFO and joint owner of LIG, joined the company, he brought a host of impressive experience from the retail marketing world. His strategic acumen and attention to detail has helped take LIG to a new level in customer satisfaction.

LIG Rentals serves as a one-stop shop for every rental need for homeowners, municipalities, power and utility companies, construction firms, government agencies, independent contractors, and others. Their work ranges from arranging rentals for events and helping builders and developers deliver on-time and on-budget construction projects to assisting in disaster situations. Since the business launched in 2019, their teams have completed more than 2,000 projects in 150 municipalities and supported 200 disasters and emergencies throughout the region and beyond.

The company has set itself apart as a reliable and trustworthy source for rental needs. The team at LIG recognizes the importance of adapting to circumstances and being available to its customers, particularly as they deal with stressful situations. “We take in every call so the convenience of having someone answer the phone no matter what the emergency is a huge convenience,” Keith explains. One of the maxims they ascribe to is to always say yes—they’ve found success in overcommitting and meeting the challenge of figuring out a solution. A vital lesson that Keith and Loren learned early on was the need to schedule their days to be productive when it matters most. “The most money is made between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM in the morning, so you have to be an early bird,” they explain.

As they look to the next chapter for their business, Loren and Keith feel confident in their ability to continue transforming LIG Rentals to better serve others. But more than just business expansion and success, the leadership at the company wants to improve themselves, their employees, and the community around them. “We want to grow our employees so that they can provide a better life for themselves and their families,” Keith shares. “We want to continue to coach about the importance of integrity and leveraging that into strong character so all of us can leave a strong legacy that our employees’ families and community can be proud of.”
