A kitchen transformation that didn’t just update a space, but completely redefined how this home lives.
What was once a small, closed-off, and dated kitchen has been thoughtfully opened up into a warm, inviting environment designed for gathering, cooking, and everyday life. By removing a dividing wall, the entire layout of the kitchen was reimagined. In its place, a long, functional kitchen perimeter wall now provides both beauty and utility, balanced by a striking fluted stained oak island that naturally draws people in.
One of the most compelling elements is the custom range hood, finished in a soft Venetian plaster. It introduces a subtle texture and quiet architectural presence, adding depth without overpowering the room. It’s a moment that feels refined and grounded, bringing a sense of calm to the heart of the kitchen.
Just beyond, a once-overlooked wall has been transformed into a dedicated coffee bar. Previously home to a single piece of furniture, it now serves as a focal point coffee bar space. It’s functional, yes, but also deeply personal.
The addition of a custom banquette further elevates the livable space in this kitchen. Wrapped in reeded white oak toe kick detailing that echoes throughout the kitchen, it creates continuity while adding a tailored, architectural layer.
It’s this balance of texture, tone and functionality that defines this project. Nothing feels excessive, yet nothing is overlooked. The result is a kitchen that feels lived-in from the start- elegant, welcoming, and designed to support the way this growing family truly lives.
If you’re considering a remodel and want a space that feels as thoughtful as it is beautiful, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to begin your next project, we’re here to bring it to life.
