CJR Concrete & Landscape Construction

In Granite Bay and the surrounding communities in Placer County, backyards have become more than just outdoor space—they’ve become an extension of the home. It’s where families gather after long days, where kids play and explore, and where weekends are spent entertaining friends and making memories. Homeowners today are investing more into their outdoor spaces, not just for aesthetics, but to create environments that truly enhance their day-to-day lives.

At CJR Concrete & Landscape Construction, that commitment is at the heart of every project we build. Colton Ray, a Loomis local, husband, and proud father of two, is the owner and driving force behind the company. CJR specializes in pool construction, residential and commercial concrete, custom outdoor living, and landscape installations.

With deep roots in the community, every project is approached with care and respect—understanding that each backyard is not just a project, but a meaningful investment into a family’s home and lifestyle. We do not take lightly the investments our clients are making into their homes, and we’re honored to be trusted by our local communities to bring their outdoor dreams to life.

We’re a local, client-focused team that designs and builds your project from start to finish. Every step is personally overseen by our owner, Colton Ray, ensuring a seamless, stress-free experience.

When hiring a contractor, always verify their license and insurance—it’s one of the most important steps to protect your home and investment. Our company is proudly fully licensed, insured, and bonded, and we bring the right tools, top-quality equipment, and a dedicated, skilled team to take on projects of any size with confidence, quality and care.

What’s trending right now in Placer County?

Most of the pools we build today are fully custom, integrated into the overall backyard design. We’re seeing homeowners increasingly desire outdoor living elements that seamlessly come together to create one beautiful, cohesive space.

What we build most often:

Custom pools with integrated spas, cabo shelves, and water features.

Custom landscape designs that complement your home and overall aesthetic.

Complete backyard transformations including decorative concrete, patios, and full landscape installations. Custom outdoor living spaces such as pergolas, pavilions, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and more.

Artificial turf, sports courts, and functional spaces designed for entertaining and family use.

Thoughtfully planned projects that balance lifestyle, durability, and long-term value.

Everything we build is thoughtfully designed around how you live—creating outdoor spaces your family will enjoy, relax, connect, and make memories in for years to come.

At the end of the day, it’s not about trends—it’s about creating your outdoor space with a contractor you can truly trust to deliver with integrity, care, and on time, so you can feel confident every step of the way.
