Majestic Painters
OCTOBER 2026
From military service to manager at Pottery Barn and Starbucks to entrepreneur, Nick Capurro,
owner of Majestic Painters, has gone the distance in many sectors and understands what differentiates a good company from a great one. Nick’s business mission is straightforward: he aims to serve his clients with integrity and honesty and provide the best possible painting project outcomes.
As a youth, Nick watched his father run a company’s sales division, where he hired and trained employees, sold products, and cultivated long-term business relationships. Observing his father in this role helped Nick understand the basics of business interactions at an early age and inspired him in his own professional pursuits. “He was fair, stern, possessed high standards of professionalism, and was very likable,” Nick recalls. “There was an admiration and loyalty that he had managed to earn through his leadership and business intellect.” Throughout his life, Nick has cultivated a diverse set of experiences. While attending UC Davis, he worked for the San Francisco Carpenters Union and interned for the County of Sacramento’s Social Services division. After graduating from UCD, Nick became a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving for five years before leaving active duty with the rank of captain. Upon rejoining the private sector, he worked in multiple trades. When given the opportunity to take the reins of his own business, Nick thought hard about what being an entrepreneur would mean for himself and his family before purchasing a painting franchise and learning the ins and outs of its operations. In 2010, Nick took the leap and hung up the Majestic Painters shingle.
At Majestic Painters, Nick and his team are dedicated to providing much more than just painting services—their goal is to take their clients’ unique visions and make them reality. Nick’s wife, Amber, plays a crucial role as the company’s color specialist and coordinator. She meets with clients and provides design and color recommendations, helping keep things rolling from job to job. Though challenges inevitably arise, they nurture each situation and strive to create exceptional outcomes. “We must be courteous, good communicators, possess great skill, and meet our clients’ expectations,” Nick explains. “At the end of the day, we do what we say and try to ensure we take care of every detail, no matter how trivial or small.” For Nick, this process and knowledge isn’t revolutionary—he followed these tenets during his first job as a paper boy and has continued to refine the principles of consistency and accountability throughout his life and career.
More than 25 years after first opening Majestic Painters, Nick feels immensely proud of how the business has survived and thrived. Though major disruptions (including the housing crisis and Covid-19 pandemic) have threatened to shake up the business, Nick and his team continue to find ways to keep painting. “Not much has truly changed, except for me understanding the business better,” Nick says. “We continue to do what’s right for our clients every day, and we stick to the core principles of great service, with quality results.”
