Viona Medical Spa seamlessly blends expertise in aesthetic medicine and maxillofacial surgery to provide personalized, non-surgical treatments. Founded by oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Tania Nelson-Chrystal, who holds both DDS and MD degrees and trained at a top-level shock trauma center, the practice combines surgical precision with non-invasive spa therapies to achieve natural, transformative results. After earning her DDS with honors from UCLA, Dr. Nelson-Chrystal completed a six-year residency at the University of Maryland and the R. Adam Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she also earned her MD in 2010 and participated in groundbreaking surgical cases. Returning to California in 2013, she joined A+ Dental Group in Roseville and later transitioned from hospital-based work to private practice, founding Viona Medical Spa in 2023 to merge her surgical expertise with aesthetic medicine. She was inspired to create Viona Medical Spa after recognizing a need for better education about aesthetic treatments tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Viona Medical Spa focuses on advanced injectables, laser therapies, and personalized wellness programs designed to deliver natural, long-term results. Under Dr. Nelson-Chrystal’s leadership, Viona has grown rapidly, with locations in Roseville and Lincoln.

Dr. Nelson-Chrystal has been married to her husband, Dan, for 28 years. Together they have two children, two grandchildren, and three beloved pugs, Daisy, Luigi, and Pasha. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, collecting rocks, doing CrossFit, and engaging in social gaming.
