Rachael Burns, Certified Financial Planner and owner of True Worth Financial Planning, helps newly single women navigate their finances after divorce or the death of a spouse. She assists her clients in getting organized, managing their investments, and developing detailed financial plans that empower them to feel confident about their next chapter.

Rachael’s greatest inspiration has always been her sons, Cameron and Drake. From the beginning, her goal was to build a business that provided the flexibility to support her family’s evolving needs. Building her firm required time, effort, and resources, but she has a business that not only sustains her family but also brings her a profound sense of fulfillment.

Her career began nearly 20 years ago in the advisor training program at Morgan Stanley. Her life changed dramatically in 2018 when she learned she was expecting twins and her husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. She realized she needed flexibility to care for her family, and in 2020, she launched True Worth Financial Planning to help women navigate life’s most difficult transitions. Her personal journey allowed her to connect with clients on a deeper, more compassionate level.

Rachael strives to deliver a “Ritz-Carlton level” experience that is thoughtful, personal, and makes clients feel genuinely cared for. She helps women through some of the most overwhelming times in their lives, helping ease their financial stress so they can focus on what matters most. More than an investment manager, she is a long-term financial partner and advocate, offering clarity, guidance, and steady support through life’s challenges. Trust and partnership are the hallmarks of her practice.

Rachael takes pride in the business she built from the ground up, launching in the middle of the COVID lockdown while caring for two toddlers. What started with a laptop and a vision has grown into a thriving practice and even fulfilled her dream of being quoted in The Wall Street Journal. Most meaningful to her is the impact she has made, guiding more than 150 women through life’s most challenging seasons.

Rachael lives in Granite Bay with her husband, Rob, and their twin seven-year-old boys, Cameron and Drake. At home, she is happily outnumbered by boys, except for her five chickens. She hopes to continue deepening her roots in Granite Bay by collaborating with other local professionals, and participating in local events that create lasting connections.
