EU-Tech is a family-owned and operated European auto repair shop built on deep expertise, strong values, and a genuine commitment to customer care. Specializing in service, repair, and maintenance for all European makes and models, EU-Tech works on vehicles ranging from those just out of dealer warranty to classic models from the 1970s. The shop delivers a true dealer-level experience without the dealer-level prices, combining advanced technical knowledge with a personal, community-focused approach.

Owned by Louis and Irene, with their daughter Renae actively helping run daily operations and planning to take over in the future, EU-Tech is truly a multigenerational business. The family was born in Hungary and later lived in Germany, giving them a lifelong connection to European culture and engineering. That background naturally evolved into a passion for European automobiles. Louis began working on these vehicles in the early 1980s, when many models were first rolling off dealership lots. Owning and operating a European repair shop had been a childhood dream, and that dream became reality nearly 20 years ago in the Sacramento area.

The inspiration behind starting EU-Tech was simple yet powerful: to pursue a passion while providing the community with honest, reliable automotive service rooted in family values. After spending many years working as a technician at a dealership, Louis wanted to create an independent shop where quality, trust, and customer satisfaction came first. That philosophy continues to guide every aspect of the business today.

EU-Tech is particularly proud of its ability to transform bringing a car in for repairs from an experience many people dread into something far more comfortable and stress-free. From shorter wait times, a welcoming waiting room with snacks, rides home or to work, and clear communication, every detail is designed to reduce frustration. Customers receive transparent digital reports with photos and videos explaining vehicle concerns, along with an honest, prioritized breakdown of what needs attention. Children are welcomed too, with toys to play with and even shop tours to make the visit engaging rather than intimidating.

Reputation is one of EU-Tech’s greatest points of pride. The team is intentional about operating with integrity, never recommending unnecessary work and always treating customers like family. Community involvement is another cornerstone of the business. EU-Tech regularly hosts free events, including school field trips with car shows that allow kids to learn about vehicles and even climb in race cars. Free Car Care Clinics are also offered, providing hands-on instruction for essential skills like changing a tire, jump-starting a car, and checking oil.

Beyond the shop, racing is a major passion. EU-Tech operates a race team out of the facility and frequently competes at Thunderhill Raceway, Sonoma Raceway, and Laguna Seca with in-house built cars, including a Porsche 944 S2 and a BMW E36.

Looking ahead, the goal is steady growth and longevity. EU-Tech plans to remain a trusted presence in the community for generations, continuing the family legacy of honesty and care.
